Blue
This is Rebel he is a blue and white
male pup we produced but now at
CuChuliann Border Collies.
The pup below is genetically a blue
pup with the merle pattern.  A slate
blue merle if registered with the AKC
will be registered as a blue merle with
is the WRONG name for the dog.  If
you have a slate blue merle complain
to the BCSA that they are not out to
get the right information out about
merle yet they had a color page on the
BCSA site so people would have the
right information.   
There is a difference between a slate
blue merle and a blue merle.  It is
important to know the difference
because a lot of breeders do not want
to breed blue to blue.

Blue is a dilute of black.  Blue
pups are born light powder blue
but usually darken as they age.
