G Force Border Collies
Border Collie breeding and training kennel that produces a small amount of pups per year. We believe it takes more than a good pedigree to
produce quality pups. ;Our goal is to produce not only well bred dogs, but dogs that are a joy to live with no matter what you choose to do with
your dog. We believe breeding healthy dogs with excellent temperaments is only the beginning. A breeder should be responsible for the pups
from the time he/she breeds the parents. It is the breeders job to see to it that the dam is properly cared for not only during the pregnancy but
before, during and after pregnancy. A breeder should also see to it that the pups have the best start possible in life. Pups should be socialized
from day one with the family and handling should continue the whole time the pup is at the breeders. Pups should be exposed to not only
adults but children, animals, various surfaces, noises and more. The more a breeder does with a pup the easier it will be for that pup to handle
whatever his future living situation will be. (herding home, agility, obedience, family ....) We offer continued training advice and help for the life
of our pups and even rescues. We believe there is more to a BC than a pretty face and feel people should place pups in homes that fit each
pups individual temperament. Our goal is not to rush pups in and out of here but to find the best homes we can no matter how long it may
take. (for pups and rescue dogs) All of our breeding age dogs are OFA'd or BVA hip scored and with the help of DNA we are able to
guarantee none of our pups will be affected with CEA,CH,CL and TNS. We give a written health guarantee on my pups and require a contract
be signed prior to purchase. If for any reason you can no longer keep your pup we require that the pup be returned so we can find it a quality
home. Our pups are born in our homes, handled daily, desensitized, socialized (with kids, adults and other animals), temperament tested,
vaccinated, wormed, started with basic manners, crate training started, and more. We expose our dogs to various situations such as walking
on a loose lead, no jumping, crate training, taking a bath, grooming, nail clippings, various toys, Very LOUD noises, clickers, hand feedings
and more) When our pups leave we want them to be outgoing and ready for the new life that awaits them. If you would like more details on how
we raise our pups please
click here. We do not price puppies based on color and do not agree with breeders who do. We do require a written
contract for our pups. This is not only for our protection but also the protection of the pup and the puppy buyer. We do not sell to people who
we do not get to at least speak to on the phone so if you are really interested in a pup you can either forward you phone number or call
anytime. We do not sell to puppy mills or mass producers so if you are a person who falls into that category (you know if you do) We will not
sell any of our pups to you. We will only sell breeding dogs to established responsible breeders with no exceptions. If you are a breeder
buying a pup from me you will be required to sign a different contract than the spay/neuter pup buyers and must meet other criteria as well.
(IE: Hip OFA'd, DNA for CEA,CL,TNS,CH...)We will take back any of our pups, adult dogs, or rescues if you are unable to keep them for
whatever reason. ALWAYS Remember we believe the sale of a pup doesn't end our relationship. We offer a lifetime of training help and
support for all of our puppies. We want to help in any way we can just give us a call. G Force Border Collies 337-353-5238 >Reality check
below..

Responsible breeders do NOT breed dogs who do not pass OFA and who are not free from genetic diseases. Period. We feel people are
quick to make excuses for why they don't OFA breeding dogs or why at least one of the parents are not DNA Normal for CEA,CL,CH and TNS.
The only REAL reason we can think of is pure irresponsibility. We don't care if you are breeding to produce pets, working dogs, show dogs or
any other type of dog you should be producing healthy dogs to the best of your ability. If a breeder is not able to afford the cost of health
testing then how will they afford to raise the pups, feed them, vaccinate them or any emergency treatments with the pups or parents? People
will give you the excuse that they have bred the lines for years and had no problems before, or their vet says the dogs are healthy. First off
just because you have bred a line for years does not mean the pups turned out healthy. Secondly a vet is not able to grade hips and a vet
can't DNA for genetic diseases, if a breeder says their vet DNA tests they are not being honest with you. There will be times when you will see
a pup priced higher because of the color of the pup such as a gold, slate blue merle, lilac or other and the pup is out of non tested dogs, you
will see ads that say rare color or miniature, something like that but you should know that is a selling tactic used by uneducated breeders; to
sell to the average pet person who does not know there is no such thing as a rare color or miniature. Size and a hair color should NOT make
the dog priced higher. There are not really any rare colors in Border Collies and miniature Border Collies are a new fad that should be
avoided.
